Ho Ho Ho and a bottle of Nog!
This entry is exclusive to those that have decided to participate in the Secret Santa I'm putting together this year. I have had several requests to start this "wish list" entry, as I did it last year and it seemed to help.

The Secret Santa names have been drawn and I have attempted to contact everyone who said they wanted to do it. If I haven't contacted you, I either didn't get a definate answer on it or something is wrong with yours or my email. Call me if you said you were in and haven't heard from me.

This entry is really going to be more of a public cork board for everyone participating in Secret Santa to comment with their "wish list". Each person participating should post here with a few things they would like for this season in an attempt to make gift shopping easier. We may all be very close but sometimes shopping for a gift for a friend can be difficult and this is designed to help. You don't have to post anything but I'm sure your Santa would appreciate it. Those with no LJ's can comment anonymously here and just leave their name at the bottom or in the subject field. This will be open to everyone to view so check back periodically to see if the person you got has added their "wishlist". Gifts listed should be within the $15-$20 range but Santas are more than welcome to exceed that should they choose to. If you know someone who is doing Secret Santa but doesn't have computer access or a LJ or rarely/never checks their email, ask them if they'd like you to add their list in order to make it easier for everyone. We have a good turnout this year, as usual.

I think that about does it. As a reminder, the Christmas Party will be at Colby and my house on Friday, December 14th. Time is around 7:30. Food is served at 8pm. If anyone has any questions or need directions, give me a call or something!

Dera Santa,
If you want to save yourself shopping pains, a Best Buy Gift Card is the Ultimate gift! I also like cigars, typcially Romeo Y Julietta brand, in the tube. Numero Dos, Monte Cristos, and especially Churchills are good kinds of that brand. Although against the law, importing some Cubans would be good. You break into peoples homes all the time. I'm sure you'll have no troubles with this one. But, if you decide you'd rather not break this law, wine is also good. I really like Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Or a good Muscato dessert wine.

Hi Santa, this year I haven't been very good, but if you'll still bring me a gift, I would enjoy any of the following.... anything from Godiva that doesn't have nuts, mittens/scarf, strongbow, red wine (rose or cabernet), $1million, my own reindeer, or Jason naked.
Do I have to sit in someone's lap to make this list official?

Dear Santa, I would love LOVE to have a bullet tunnel like in that one James Bond movie (or two?) connecting Atlanta to Lexington so that I could attend the potluck.

Dear Santa Claus,

This year, I have been a very materialistic little girl. I have sometimes cheated, but don’t worry I’ve never been caught. I always say thank you, which makes me seem like I care, and so I deserve lots of blank checks this year!

Please bring all this stuff for me and the people in my life: For my roomy, please bring bug spray. For my guinea pig (not hamster), please bring a chew toy. Oh – and for my pool boy, please bring some work ethic.

Now about me! Lets get down to some serious business. I like simple silver jewelry, my house slippers are pretty worn (I wear a 7 ½), or a gift card would always be nice (like target, or a restaurant, ect…). If you’re an adventurous Santa, then it’s been awhile since I’ve been tipsy. Just make sure its something that taste good.

Anyway, I hope you like the special brownies I left out for you.

Sincerely,

Tracy

PS: Please say Merry Christmas to the baby Jesus.

PPS: Oh yeah, and remember my exroomate Jason (who maybe my future roommate)? He has been a really perverted dork all year long and doesn’t deserve any Christmas presents. So please don’t forget to put porn in his stocking. Thanks!

I'm super easy to please. Feel free to get something that's totally not on this list if you want.

I like legos!
I like board games!
I like tools!

This wishlist will self destruct in ten seconds. Good luck.

Dear K. Kringle,

I've been a very good girl this year. I haven't been rude to any customers (at least not to their faces) or TOEFL testers, and I've gotten along with my mother every time I visited!

I would very much like to have Samus' Power Suit compatible with me, complete with ability to morph into the ball. If that's not feasible (though it really should be), I'm sure I deserve a small token of your appreciation for staying (mostly) on the nice list.

In case you've forgotten what I like, here's a short list:

+Harry Potter (specifically Slytherin stuffs)
+Batman
+crafty type things (I mostly sew and cross-stitch, but dabble in the other creative arts as well)
+sharp shiny things (decorative daggers)

In fact, I'll stop here and just link to last year's. It is the same with few additions. =)

Many *hearts* and hope to "see" you soon,
Sparkles

My list is a lot like last year.

Coffee is always good. Find me some good coffee beans (don't have to be ground) and I'll be happy. Maybe something unusual from a Lexington coffee shop.

Red wines of all sorts.

Futurama: Bender's Big Score (the DVD is right around $20)

Books (especially nonfiction) that you think I'd like.

If you've got a good idea of something I'd like, feel free to go for it. I doubt I'll be disappointed.\

Bryce

Here are some things that I think are super cool (and would like for xmas):

*Wine (red, white, pink, I don't discriminate)
*Yummy food items or gift certificates to cool and unique LOCAL restaurants in Lexington or Louisville (no chain restaurants please.)
*Music - Angela was right on with the burned cd thing. I like almost every kind of music and I love hearing new things - so burn a bunch of your favorite songs on a cd and call it a day - no cost to you.
*Gift certificates to Guitar Center, Borders, Barnes and Noble, or Target
*Something neat and creative. Like a clock in the shape of a fish.

Thanks Santa!

Sorry for getting the list up so late, Santa.

I have already been blessed with many things this year -- a wonderful wife and a new (old) house. Unfortunately, I seem to have way more "stuff" than I know what to do with, even given the big ol' house I have to keep it all in. So, although I am easy to please and would appreciate many things, I ask you not to overlook consumables, or other gifts that don't require much in the way of storage.

In particular, I always enjoy trying new foods, the stranger the better. I also wouldn't mind trying some unusual alcohol (but if you go for the alcohol, please make it something you have tried yourself and liked -- I trust you, Santa).

I also really enjoy games. Emily and I have a few card/tabletop games, but not enough for a whole lot of variety. And now that it's a bigger deal for us to have people over (since we're in Louisville), we could use some extra games for when we're entertaining. Preferably games that many people can play at once, and games that aren't too complicated or hard to learn. Some games I have played and enjoyed include Carcassonne, the Great Dalmuti, and Master Labyrinth (though I already own the Great Dalmuti -- it was just an example). I'm sure there are many other options -- book stores would be a good place to look (though good luck finding a game for less than $20), but game stores would be even better (I think you'd have more luck finding a somewhat cheaper game, and you'd have more luck describing these criteria and getting some decent advice, if you feel you need it).

Sorry that those things are so vague, Santa. If you like, you can just get me something nice and tasty. Some fancy cheese and sausage, for example. Mmm, it tastes good just thinking about it...

Dear Santa,
I realize shopping for me can be very hard, I'm picky, and there's lots of things in this world that I don't like. Like fuzzy kittens and yummy alchohol. I can't stand those.

Just to give you some help:

I like: Wine, black tea, chocolate, bookstore gift certificates, yarn store gift certificates, anything raspberry, Bailey's, coffee, anything Irish music or dance-related.

I dislike: Country and rap music.
